Beck is 8 months which means its been 3 months since I last posted. I knew I would be horrible at this blogging thing but…here goes. At 8 months Mr. Beck Russell Nielson:
- Loves sniffing things out, as displayed above. Generally this sniffing is accompanied by a very tough looking bulldog-like underbite. And by tough I mean hilarious.
- Has two bottom teeth that cost Beck and his parents lots of sleepless nights. Good thing their cute!
- Has very efficient rolling skills. It’s his chosen mode of transportation and he can be across the room in record time.
- Sports some crazy hair. The hair. Oh the hair. Not really sure what we’re going to do with it yet but we get comments everywhere we go.
- Loves his favorite book “The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear” by Don and Audrey Wood. He lights up and squeals in delight when we read that one. Bear Snores On is another favorite.
- Inhales his favorite food –fruit, of course– but running a very close second is zucchini. Who knew? For the record, asparagus not so much. Oh and peas. Hates peas. But mom keeps trying.
- Loves when his dad startles him.
- Sits up by himself. (Excuse the blurry iPhone pictures with horrible lighting. I’m working on learning how to use Stephen’s fancy camera.)
- Is getting really good at holding his own bottle.
- Loves walks cozied up in his Bundle Me. Mom’s only willing to brave it if the temperature is at least in the 20s and not windy. What we consider “warm enough” has completely changed since our move to the Northshore. This morning it was 5 degrees. Needless to say we stayed inside.
- Loves to pull Mommy’s hair, unzip her hoodie and suck on hood ties of said hoodie.
- Can’t get enough of these colored rings. So simple and yet so entertaining.
- Almost fits in size 18 month clothes and…well…is still chunky as ever and oh so squishy and cuddly.
- Looks like his Grandpa Frisch
- Brings these two lucky parents tons of joy and constant entertainment.
